That is why it is important to always be vigilant and carefully understand the warranty terms of the seller before buying your car navigation unit.
Factors such as whether the seller is local or abroad matters. Some local sellers although indicate that the product carries a warranty but the warranty terms are that the buyer should send the item to the manufacturer which is impossible as shipping costs are very high and may even be above the value of your car navigation unit.
We are a local seller/distributor with identifiable address or walk-in shop, our units are quality tested before we send to customer or install. The warranty is with us not some manufacturer in China.
